Primary Healthcare

The Nepal Trust provides healthcare where no-one else can or will.  This is a priority project area for 2008.

Since 1994, we have built five permanent health clinics, four of which are wholly operated and funded by the Nepal Trust.

We recruit and train local health care workers to staff the healthposts, thus investing in the community and teaching vital skills which will be transferred to others through education programmes.

In the past we have facilitated three major health camps.  The most recent, in 2006, was attended by over 7,000 people. 

In addition to the general health camps, we have hosted several other specialist temporary clinics, e.g. mother and child, dental.
