The Nepal Trust provides integrated rural development in the far North West of Nepal. Our main objective is to help create community projects that emphasize local participation and responsibility and give hope to the people of this very remote and impoverished area, where every day is a struggle for survival.

In Memoriam: Alan Jacobsen, 1922-2008

 

It is with great sadness that we share with you the news that Alan Jacobsen, the founder of the Nepal Trust, passed away peacefully on Friday evening, 5th December, aged 86.

 

We are all thinking of Alan and his family, and send our love and thanks to Alan for being who he was, and for his inspiration to bring about a change to so many people's lives through the work of the Nepal Trust.
