Nepal Flash Floods Emergency Aid Fund 2026

Any Amount of your choice

On August 26th, 2026, an avalanche triggered a series of floods along the Trishuli River, striking dozens of settlements in Nepal’s Rasuwa and Nuwakot districts. The floods affected the Gyirong Port area on the Chinese-Nepal border, an important gateway for cross-border trade and tourism. Flash floods and mudslides caused damage to communities, more than 600 confirmed deaths and rising in Nepal. The project will raise funds to provide emergency aid to those affected by this catastrophic event.

About us

The Nepal Trust is a registered Scottish Charity (SC022552) with offices in Glasgow, Scotland and locally in Kathmandu and Simikot (Humla district), Nepal.

We work across a number of regions in Nepal including one of the most impoverished and remote areas of human habitation in the world – the upper Karnali river zone of North-West Nepal, otherwise known as “The Hidden Himalayas”.

Throughout all of our projects and programmes, we emphasise local participation and recognise the local people as the ultimate custodians of their communities.
